Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive the expansion of services within the specialty pharmacy market, with a focus on market analysis, growth opportunities, and client relationships.
  • Develop strong relationships with major clients and expand existing customer relationships by proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare providers, payers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and industry partners. Facilitate  proactive client management, relationship building, and expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Develop and manage a sales funnel, focusing on important products and viable revenue opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to clinical and operations teams driving performance, growth and results. Prepare and present reports of progress and forecasts to management, managing the opportunity pipeline within the CRM.
  • Lead contract negotiations and partnership discussions to secure mutually beneficial agreements, and resolve customer concerns as a trusted advisor.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to strengthen market presence.
  • Use video conference tools to maximize revenue opportunities with key pharmacy stakeholders.
  • Provide input into budgetary decisions and long-term financial planning, ensuring that revenue growth targets are met.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to track industry trends, competitor activity, and changes in regulations.
  • Identify and act on emerging opportunities or risks that could impact the business’s market position.
  • Ensure that all business development activities comply with applicable healthcare regulations, pharmaceutical standards, and privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the regulatory environment surrounding specialty pharmacy to safeguard the company’s compliance.
  • Facilitate or lead training sessions for owners and teams based on member needs for growth.
  • Assist with special projects and events as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7-10 years of experience in business development, with a focus on healthcare, pharmaceutical services, or specialty pharmacy.
  • Proven track record of securing high-value partnerships and driving revenue growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of the specialty pharmacy landscape, including payer systems, pharmaceutical industry trends, and healthcare regulations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing long-term plans and managing day-to-day operations.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Ability to sell both in-person and virtually via Teams/teleconferencing.
  • Established relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and stakeholders in the oncology field are highly valued.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
